Double canvas is woven with pairs of threads going in each direction and is a strong, hard wearing canvas. This canvas can also be worked over one thread (sometimes called petit point) to obtain fine details in sections of the work, whilst using the double threads normally for the rest of the design. This double antique (brown) canvas is 100% cotton and has 10 holes to the inch. It is used for tapestry, needlepoint, cross stitch and other types of needlework embroidery.
